From the President
Meeting Minutes 2/17/10
Thanks for visiting our website. Check it out, I think you will like
what you see.
I am excited about being given the opportunity to continue to build
on the club’s prior success. I am lucky to continue to work with a
strong, progressive board at Cincinnati West. Our model of finding a
place for players of all skill levels has been extremely successful.
Top players will excel and others will continue to develop and
ascend to higher skill levels.
The club continues to grow having 50 teams and over 600 players. We
look forward to adding more teams and players to the club in the
near future.
Our fall and spring tournaments continue to be a tremendous success.
We are drawling team from throughout the Midwest. I believe our
tournament committee is one of the best. They work extremely hard to
put on a great tournament weekend. Again as we have done in the
past, the Go-o-o-oalrilla Classic's Friday night registration was
held at Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield, Ohio. We work with Jungle Jim’s
as they sponsor the registration night party which includes music,
games and food for all the players and their families. This event
separates our tournament from others in the area.
Due to the success of our tournament and the model of our club, we
are able to continue to provide more value for your soccer dollar.
The club will continue to provide a DOC, goalkeeper training, field
player training, player camps, coaches education series, training
facilities, and trainer programs.
Most important at Cincinnati West, is the focus on the player and
the team rather than the club. Providing valuable, high quality
training to all players enables many to fulfill their aspirations to
continue to play soccer at the next level. The number of players
playing at Cincinnati area high schools and at the collegiate level
in Division I, II, III and NAIA schools continues to grow from year
to year. We plan to work hard to continue this trend.
I hope that you find Cincinnati West to your liking. Please feel
free to contact us if you have any questions about how your daughter
or son can join the Cincinnati West Soccer Club family.
