Angie Eckhoff: aka ' Rudy'

Angie has been the Team Captain for the Harrison ( CWSC ) Velocity for the past six years. Angie has some of the best work ethics seen in a young player. She near perfected the defensive center mid in out 4-4-2 system of play. Angie is the type of player that can make runs from box to box the entire match and and seldom miss a breath. She is one of the best defensive players I have seen in some time. And it looks as if it has not gone unnoticed. She also had numerous colleges recruiting her.

Angie Eckhoff played her High School soccer at East Central high school in Sunman Indiana. Angie has signed a very nice athletic scholarship to play her soccer at Aurora University in Aurora Illinois. Aurora has a rich tradition in soccer. Setting records in goals scored and least goals allowed. In 2007 alone the Aurora Spartans out-scored their opponents 77 to 15 (23 games). AU finished the regular season with a 19-3-1 overall record and captured their ninth conference title in the last 13 seasons. The Spartans set school or tied records for wins (19), consecutive games with a goal scored (22), consecutive wins (19), team shutouts (12) and lowest goals against average (0.65). The Spartans were ranked #25 in the nation this season going into their NCAA play off match.

As one added note, Aurora is lead by Head coach Kanute Drugan now in his 12 year as a head coach. Their Head Assistant coach is Diedja (Didi) Barreto. Didi was the Brazilian National and Olympic squad goalkeeper.

With the prowess of defense Angie plays, she will be a nice fit for the Aurora program.
